Downtown Houston Rooftop Engagement Session | Makyna and Garrett

Makyna and Garrett wanted a fun and adventurous fall engagement session so we ventured to the rooftop parking garages of Downtown Houston. We started their session with more posed portraits and formal attire on the streets then went to the top of the parking garage to catch the beautiful sunset on the buildings. They wanted more candid moments so we didn’t spend long in their first outfit and instead incorporated lots of laughter and movement on the rooftop garage. For their second outfit, they both wore jeans with sneakers and sweaters/jackets that incorporated lots of texture into their outfits. The sneakers also made it perfect for plenty of running and skipping throughout their session!

I first met Makyna when she was a bridesmaid for one of my lovely 2021 brides and then I captured her senior session the following spring when she graduated from Texas A&M. I was so honored when she also wanted me to capture their urban engagement session, it was seriously one of my favorite engagement sessions to date! They went on to elope in Hawaii just a couple months later.
